I follow my interest in the moment: I might see something that inspires exploration and the medium, the moment, and my curiosity informs how I will proceed.

My work spans several styles and media. In recent summer mornings I paint watercolor plein-air landscapes from my upstate garden and then work on oil paintings of beach stones from the North Fork. Back in my Brooklyn studio I work almost exclusively in encaustic and there the exploration is more broad. Waxed and painted tea bags, collaged miniature dresses, and simple depictions of botanicals past their bloom are some themes from recent series.
